  1. Basic Beliefs

Our Church is an Independent Baptist Church that holds to the truth of God's Word and the historic doctrines of the Christian faith: (1) The deity of Jesus Christ as the Son of God, (2) The virgin birth of Jesus Christ, (3) His death, burial, resurrection and coming again, and (4) the Bible to be the Word of God.

We are a church with a: heart for missions, where you can meet new friends, that believes in reaching others for Christ, and teaching and reaching the whole family with the Word of God, We are also a church whose pastor and people care about you and your family, and a church where you can be used of God.

We are affiliated with the Baptist Bible Fellowship International.

  2. Ten Core Beliefs

The ministry of Alliance Baptist Church exists to lead people into a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. This ministry exists to lead people to love God, love others and serve in the world. We learn to love God through meaningful worship and devotion. We learn to love others through building meaningful relationships. We learn to serve by meeting the needs of those around us. In this, we fulfill the Great Commission and Great Commandment and build His kingdom.

The Word of God - we believe the Bible is God’s inspired written word for man and reliable as the guide for our life. It reveals God’s truth and is the basis for our faith. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 2 Tim 3:16

God the Father – we believe the Trinity, being God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, and that God is our creator. For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. 1 John 5:7: "You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created." Rev 4:11

God the Son – we believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, that he is the Son of God and our savior and deliver through the shedding of blood and his death on the cross. For to this end Christ died and rose and lived again, that He might be Lord of both the dead and the living. Romans 14:9

God The Holy Spirit – we believe the Holy Spirit dwells within every believer to lead, guide and direct our lives. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. John 14:26

The Fall – we believe the adversary known as the devil, Satan or Lucifer is our great tempter and that he works against all that is good, moral and holy; and through Adam’s sin of disobedience in the garden, we are separated from a right relationship with God from birth. Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned-- Romans 5:12

The Resurrection and Ascension – we believe the gospel message that Jesus was crucified, buried in a borrowed tomb and on the third day rose again to defeat sin and death and ascended into heaven with the promise to return. But the angel answered and said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. 6 He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. Matt 28:5-6

Justification – we believe man is reconciled to God by Jesus’ death and through repentance and faith we are adopted into the family of God and are made heirs with Jesus. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. Romans 5:9

Sanctification – we believe God’s plan for believers through a maturing process is to reflect the character of Christ. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord. 2 Cor 3:18

The Church – we believe the church is a community of baptized believers in a particular place and God has entrusted to us the ministry of giving every person an opportunity to accept Christ as their savior and Christ himself builds the church. And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. Matt 16:18

Future Things – We believe Christ will come back some day to rapture His church out of this world and there shall be a time of tribulation for those who are left. After the seven years of tribulation, Christ will usher in His kingdom for a 1000 year reign on earth. At the end of the 1000 year reign, Satan will be loosed for a season to gather his forces, and that Christ will defeat Satan and his followers and that they will be cast into the lake of fire and Christ will build his kingdom. And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, 11 who also said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven." Acts 1:10-11

It is our intention to lead people into a meaningful relationship with Christ through prayer, devotions and the development of friendships.

  3. Ten Core Practices

As believers we are to learn obedience to the Lord through disciplined lives. As we understand scripture and grow in grace we are called to practice our faith in and through the local church. The following practices are the starting place for faithful Christian service to the Lord and the church. Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. 18 But someone will say, "You have faith, and I have works." Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. James 2:17-18 (NKJV)

Prayer & Fasting - I will develop a habit of active prayer, spending time daily with the Lord interceding for others, making request and looking for direction in my life. I will practice the discipline of fasting to bring my body into subjection and empower my life. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Heb 4:16 (NKJV). "Now, therefore," says the LORD, "Turn to Me with all your heart, With fasting, with weeping, and with mourning." Joel 2:12 (NKJV). "Moreover, when you fast, do not be like the hypocrites, with a sad countenance. For they disfigure their faces that they may appear to men to be fasting. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. 17 But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, 18 so that you do not appear to men to be fasting, but to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. Matt 6:16-18 (NKJV)

Devotion – I will spend time daily with the Lord in devotional reading and meditation on the word of God seeking to know Him and His will for my life. Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You! Psalms 119:11 (NKJV). Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. 2 Cor 4:16 (NKJV)

Fellowship - I believe that fellowship with other believers is essential for intimate growth through intentional relationships that honor our Lord Jesus Christ. So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, Acts 2:46 (NKJV)

Faith – I believe that as a believer I am to live a life of faith in the Lord and believe in His promises to me, revealed in scripture. But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Heb 11:6 (NKJV)

Worship - I believe my love for God is demonstrated by my worship of God through my life’s testimony, and faithful participation in corporate worship with fellow believers is a priority and draws me closer to Him. All the earth shall worship You And sing praises to You; They shall sing praises to Your name." Selah5 Come and see the works of God; He is awesome in His doing toward the sons of men. Psalms 66:4-5 (NKJV)

Stewardship – I believe time, talent, and treasures has be given to me as gift from God. I will honor Him by faithfully serving with my time and talents, and generously giving of my treasure to support His good works. Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful. 1 Cor 4:2 (NKJV). So he answered and said, "'You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,' and 'your neighbor as yourself.' Luke 10:27 (NKJV)

Service - I believe I am called serve others by using my spiritual gifts as evidence of my salvation and the love I have for Christ, for fellow believers and the world. For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. Gal 5:13 (NKJV). As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

Discipleship - I believe I am to live my life and search for opportunities to receive instruction from mature believers and to share the knowledge I receive with others impacting my generation. And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.2 Tim 2:2 (NKJV). For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God. Acts 13:36 (NKJV)

Evangelism - I believe that it is my responsibility to spread the good news of Jesus Christ by my lifestyle, in my giving, and by sharing my faith with others through evangelism; not only locally, but around the world. But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." Acts 1:8 (NKJV)

Unity – I believe unity in the church is of utmost importance and will endeavor to keep the unity among my fellow believers by living a selfless, Christ-centered life. I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, 2 with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, 3 endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. Eph 4:1-3 (NKJV)

  4. Ten Core Values

Based on the fruit of the Spirit I will endeavor to demonstrate these virtues in my personal life and strive to please the Lord through my character. I understand this is a reflection of who I am in Christ and it is my goal to develop these virtues. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.Gal 5:22-23 (NKJV)

Love - I will sacrificially and unconditionally love and forgive others. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12 No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us. 1 John 4:10-12 (NKJV)

Joy - I will have inner contentment and purpose in spite of my circumstances. These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. John 15:11 (NKJV)

Peace - I will be free from anxiety because things are right between God, myself and others. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Phil 4:6-7 (NKJV)

Patience - I will take a long time to overheat and endure patiently under the unavoidable pressures of life. He who is slow to wrath has great understanding, But he who is impulsive exalts folly. Prov 14:29 (NKJV)

Gentleness - I will be thoughtful, considerate and calm in dealing with others. Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Phil 4:5 (NKJV)

Kindness/Goodness - I will choose to do the right things in my relationships with others. See that no one renders evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good both for yourselves and for all. 1 Thess 5:15 (NKJV)

Faithfulness - I will establish a good name with God and with others based on my long-term loyalty to those relationships. Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life. Rev 2:10 (NKJV)

Humility - I will choose to esteem others above myself. Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. 4 Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. Phil 2:3-4 (NKJV)

Self-Control - I will have the power, through Christ, to control myself. For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, 12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, 13 looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ. Titus 2:11-13 (NKJV)

Hope - I will cope with the hardships of life and with death because of the hope I have in Jesus Christ. This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, 20 where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek. Heb 6:19-20 (NKJV).
